Their vision centres around AI-driven innovation, transforming the online shopping experience and extending its impact beyond sneakers to various sectors.

It's been great to see how the technology's changed, so it's much more immersive as an experience, allows us to really put our best foot forward on the platform and show Aisle 3 in the best possible light and also inform investors and possibly partners as well of our progress.

What is Aisle 3®?

Aisle 3 is an AI technology which crawls and understands and ingests all of the product information across the internet and then aggregates that into a single detail page all under our cloud basket, which acts as a universal checkout regardless of the retailer.

Why did you join Connectd?

So when I received a WhatsApp message at half past seven on a Tuesday evening, two weeks before the first ever lockdown hit us, telling me that my employer had gone bused and I didn't have a job. Every single employer then subsequently froze all of their hiring plans, that was probably the kick as a 40 year old to become a founder for the first time, having never actually run a business or raised any investment or without any network. And so it's really important for me to find a group that would be able to support me, that I could learn from, and also make those connections, which are vital for a very early stage business such as us.

How has Connectd developed since you joined the network?

I joined Connectd after meeting Roei originally under its old name, and I found it very useful right at the start to have those personal introductions. We actually raised immediately from some of the very early investors and partners within Connectd, and it's been great to see how the technology's changed, so it's much more immersive as an experience, allows us to really put our best foot forward on the platform and show Aisle 3 in the best possible light and also inform investors and possibly partners as well of our progress.

How has Connectd helped scaling your company?

We have found several investors from Connectd. In fact, one of our very first investors in our first ever range around has subsequently followed on investing in the business two or three times now.

What are your growth plans? 

Well, it's really clear that we found Channel Market Fit now, and we have thousands of people registered onto Aisle 3, shopping in our core category, which is sneakers. The next milestones for us are to continue that growth, really push for product market fit, and become the defacto site for sneakers in the UK before we go back out to market to raise a significantly large seed round where we will look at other categories. Growing the business further, growing the team across India as well, where we have a subsidiary business and perhaps looking at the US where we've received some VC funding from a very famous VC called FJ Labs.

What is your experience of working with the Connectd team?

Oh, it's been super useful. The guys check in pretty regularly with us, whether that's to try and find recommendations for us for non-exec directors or advisors for the business, or also investors. In fact, two of our... I won't say favourite investors, but two investors that we like very much on our cap table were personal recommendations from the team at Connectd.

What is your experience working with different advisors from the network?

Well, there's certainly a very diverse group of talent and when you look at a business like ourselves, with all of the experience and a deep experience we have in our own sector, it's always useful to find people with different experiences, different categories. Maybe they've tackled some of the same challenges, but from a very different angle. And that's also been very useful to kind of expand our network there and meet some new talent.
